The National 3 Peaks Fundraiser asks adults to take on the three highest summits of England, Scotland and Wales in a single, tightly timed push: a physical and logistical odyssey that covers roughly 23 miles on foot, more than 10,000 feet of ascent and long transfers between mountains in pursuit of a charity goal.

Participants aim to summit Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Yr Wyddfa and travel between them, covering approximately 23 miles (37 km) of walking, around 3,064 metres (10,052 ft) of ascent and roughly 462 miles (743 km) of driving — a test of endurance and mental toughness that also supports Love Her Wild CIC.
Fully supported with mountain leaders and logistics
The event is leader‑led and supplied with minibus travel, qualified mountain leaders and first aiders, drivers and a cook, base camp teams, a safety vehicle and water top‑ups — plus a certificate, badge and a 'Supporting Love Her Wild' T‑shirt for finishers.
Train, kit up and use the support offers
You must be an experienced hill/mountain hiker with a good level of fitness; a full kit list and a schedule are provided by the leader, and participants get virtual training support plus one preparatory Zoom call. There is an optional training day on Pen Y Fan on 10 May 2026 for an additional cost.

Expect a compressed, relentless rhythm: early starts and long hours on varied mountain terrain, rapid driving transfers between peaks and the possibility of sleep deprivation and rapidly changing mountain weather. The event typically departs from Fort William with minibus support to start points and returns as the day and night fold into one continuous push.

You must book your own accommodation in Fort William for the Friday night before the event (the example date provided is Friday 25 September). The event includes minibus travel from Fort William to start points and between mountains; travel to Fort William and travel from Snowdonia after the event are excluded.
A full kit list will be provided by your leader. Participants should train for cardiovascular fitness and leg strength, and prepare for long hours on varied terrain and rapidly changing mountain weather.
Standard fundraising commitment is £1,000. A self‑funding option allows participants to cover the challenge cost (£500) and fundraise a minimum of £500. LHW patrons receive a £20 ticket discount. Cancellation within 60 days of the event requires payment/donation of £500.
Included are minibus travel between sites, vegetarian food and drinks from Saturday breakfast to Sunday breakfast, three qualified mountain leaders and first aiders, drivers, a cook, base camp teams, mountain safety equipment, water top ups, virtual training support, a Zoom call, a '3 Peaks' certificate and badge and a 'Supporting Love Her Wild' T‑shirt. Excluded are travel to Fort William, Friday night accommodation in Fort William and travel from Snowdonia; food/drinks outside the challenge are not provided.

Can I bring children or dogs?
No. Children and dogs are not allowed to attend the event; participants must be adults aged 18 or over.
