THE ROUTE

A short, scenic loop on the Three Rivers

Expect a relaxed paddle of roughly 1–1.5 miles on the iconic Three Rivers, paced for beginners and designed to showcase riverfront improvements and access work led by local organizations.

THE ACCESS

ASL-friendly instruction and inclusive leadership

This outing includes an ASL interpreter for the duration of the event and is run by Venture Outdoors and Kayak Pittsburgh staff who will teach basic gear use on land before guiding the group on the water.

THE SOCIAL

Finish at the boat ramp and join Shore Thing

After landing at the 6th Street Public Boat ramp participants travel to Shore Thing for after-paddle fellowship, with options to return to the Venture Outdoors dock by kayak or depart from Shore Thing.
