Sit-on-top ocean kayaks are provided and must be used per operator requirements; the tour is guided rather than a free rental along Broad Creek.

What are the age requirements?

Solo kayakers must be 14 or older. All participants must be 5 or older.

What are the weight limits?

The weight limit for a single kayak is 325 lbs. Weight limit for tandem kayak is 400 lbs.

I have never kayaked before. Is it hard?

The kayak tours are for all experience levels; guides will teach and assist. Consider your physical fitness—you will be paddling for 90 minutes.

What should I wear? Will I get wet?

Dress for the weather and remember you will be paddling—sport attire or bathing suits are acceptable. You will only get slightly wet from water dripping off the paddles.

Can I take my phone?

You are advised not to take your phone aboard. If you do, you assume the risk of it getting lost, broken or wet.

How many people fit in each kayak?

Two people maximum fit in each kayak.

What kind of kayaks are used? Can I bring my own?

The operator uses sit-on-top ocean kayaks and you must use their equipment (an insurance requirement).

Can we go anywhere we want?

This is a guided kayak tour, not a rental. Your guide will lead you along Broad Creek and share knowledge of the natural history and local wildlife.
