Highlights
Outing Highlights
Spirit Island — one of the most photographed places on Earth
Fourteen kilometres from the launch, Spirit Island rises from turquoise glacial water, ringed by glacier‑capped peaks. Reachable only by boat, the island is the expedition's centerpiece and a place to photograph, explore, and simply absorb the wilderness.
A full day on Canada's largest glacial‑fed lake
This is 12 hours on Maligne Lake — not a quick visit from shore. You’ll travel far down the lake, fish productive water, and anchor in hidden bays and quiet corners that reveal why the lake deserves a slow, patient day.
Decades of local knowledge and a private experience
Currie's Guiding has operated these waters since 1979. Guides know the lake's corners and fish patterns, provide a completely private boat for your group, and include gear and lunch so the day stays focused on the water.
What the day feels like
What the day feels like
An early meet at Maligne Lake leads to a quiet launch and a slow, long day on water that stretches from productive fishing flats to glacier‑framed headlands. The guide picks spots to fish, stops for a proper shore lunch or a boat‑side meal, and pushes deep into the lake toward Spirit Island and beyond, returning in the afternoon with more fishing and wildlife watching on the way back.
