Jeskyns Community Woodland is situated on the edge of the North Downs near Cobham in Kent, England. Created on former farmland and designed to provide a nature-rich landscape for local communities, Jeskyns covers over 360 acres of woodland, scrub, wildflower meadows, and open grassland. This community-focused space combines conservation, recreation, and education, making it an important resource for both people and wildlife. The woodland is home to a variety of native tree species including oak, ash, and hornbeam, all planted to support biodiversity and help combat climate change. Visitors can expect to spot diverse wildlife such as deer, badgers, owls, and many bird species in well-established habitats. The area features an extensive network of wide, gently graded trails and bridleways suitable for walkers, cyclists, and horse riders of all ages and abilities, as well as accessible paths for visitors with mobility aids. Jeskyns Community Woodland is managed by Gravesham Borough Council in partnership with community groups and local stakeholders, emphasizing sustainability, community stewardship, and outdoor enjoyment.
