Garajau Marine Nature Reserve, established in 1986, is located on the southeastern coast of Madeira, Portugal. It spans approximately six kilometers of coastline and extends from Ponta da Cruz to Lazareto. This protected area is celebrated for its crystal-clear waters and abundant marine biodiversity, making it an ideal destination for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts. The reserve provides a safe haven for a variety of sea life, including groupers, moray eels, and barracudas. It also serves as an important breeding ground for many fish species.
