Costa Occidental de Isla Mujeres National Park, located off the northeast coast of the Yucatán Peninsula, offers a stunning underwater environment of coral reefs and crystal-clear waters. The park covers an area that includes part of the island of Isla Mujeres and waters around Punta Cancun and Punta Nizuc. Established in 1996, this marine park was created to protect the coral reefs that are among the most visited diving and snorkeling sites globally. It is home to an impressive array of marine biodiversity, including sea turtles, vibrant coral species, and numerous fish species. The park's highlight is the MUSA (Museo Subacuático de Arte), an underwater museum featuring over 500 life-size sculptures that serve as a unique artificial reef, promoting coral growth and marine life habitat.
