Wilderness Landscape & Natural Heritage
Established in 2004 and encompassing an area of 441 square kilometers, Skarvan and Roltdalen National Park is located in the Trøndelag region of central Norway. The park features a unique blend of mountainous landscapes from the Skarvan mountain range and the lush valleys of Roltdalen. Characterized by alpine terrain, old-growth forests, expansive wetlands, and wild rivers, the park supports rich biodiversity including reindeer, wolverines, lynx, and a variety of bird species such as golden eagles and ptarmigans.
