Located near the town of Canmore, Alberta, Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park was originally developed for the 1988 Winter Olympics as the venue for cross-country skiing and biathlon events. The ecology includes coniferous forests dominated by lodgepole pine and spruce, along with habitats that support wildlife like deer, moose, and a variety of bird species.
