Wilderness Landscape & Natural Heritage

East Lynn Lake Wildlife Management Area (WMA) is located in Wayne and Cabell counties in southwestern West Virginia. The area covers approximately 13,000 acres surrounding the 3,342-acre East Lynn Lake, a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reservoir on Twelvepole Creek. The landscape consists of rolling hills, mixed hardwood forests, open fields, and wetland habitats, creating a rich environment for numerous native species. The lake itself is a popular fishing destination, known for largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie, and catfish. The WMA supports a wide range of wildlife including white-tailed deer, wild turkey, waterfowl, and various small game species.
