Spring Green Preserve is located near the town of Spring Green in south-central Wisconsin. The preserve covers rugged terrain characterized by steep limestone bluffs, hardwood forests, and open savanna landscapes shaped by millennia of glacial and erosion forces. This natural area provides habitat for a variety of native plant and animal species, including several rare prairie and woodland wildflowers as well as birds like the red-headed woodpecker and pileated woodpecker.
