Fränkische Schweiz-Veldensteiner Forst Nature Park spans approximately 2,335 square kilometers in northern Bavaria, Germany. The park combines the geological marvels of the Franconian Switzerland area with the wild forests of Veldensteiner Forst, creating a landscape characterized by karst formations, deep valleys, caves, and dense woodland. Its limestone geology supports notable biodiversity, including rare orchids and bat species inhabiting numerous caves.
