Lake Erie Metropark, part of the Huron-Clinton Metroparks system, is located in Brownstown Township along the Detroit River and western Lake Erie shoreline. This 1,531-acre regional park features diverse landscapes including marshlands, open meadows, wooded areas, and a long stretch of shoreline, providing habitat for a variety of bird species and wetland wildlife. Historically, the area was shaped by glacial activity and later developed into a recreational destination.
