Wilderness Landscape & Natural Heritage

Wasatch Mountain State Park, located in northern Utah near the town of Midway, encompasses over 21,000 acres of diverse terrain characterized by its mountainous landscape. The park is part of the larger Wasatch Range, renowned for its striking views and rich biodiversity. Established in 1961, it offers year-round outdoor activities. In the warmer months, visitors can enjoy over 25 miles of trails ideal for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. The park also offers excellent opportunities for fishing at many of its rivers and streams.
