Mount Adams Wilderness, located within the Gifford Pinchot National Forest in southern Washington, encompasses over 47,000 acres of diverse terrain. Dominated by the towering presence of Mount Adams, the second-highest peak in Washington at 12,276 feet, the wilderness features volcanic landscapes, lava flows, and glaciated slopes.
