School Holiday Sailing Off Oxenford: Get Kids Moving on the Water.
Get your kids out of the house and onto the water these school holidays with a program run by Southport Yacht Club at the Oxenford Watersports Centre. Designed for youth aged 7–17 with no prior experience required, the sessions are offered as flexible single half- or full-day bookings or as a 5-day ‘Sailor’ package, and include group booking options and voucher acceptance so families can disconnect from screens and learn basic sailing skills.
Highlights
Outing Highlights
Flexible daily sessions or a full-week option
Choose a 3-hour half day or a 6-hour full day; there is also a 5-Day ‘Sailor’ ticket that books a child in Mon–Fri (9AM–3PM). Sessions are open to youth with no previous sailing experience.
Small daily capacity—book early
Each day has a limited number of places (only 40 spots available each day), so families are encouraged to reserve preferred dates and session times ahead of the holidays.
Group savings and voucher support
Group ticketing options and the acceptance of $200 Play On Vouchers make the program more affordable for families and small crews booking together.
What the day feels like
What a day on the program feels like
Mornings begin with sign-in and a brief orientation, then kids spend time afloat learning boat handling and teamwork before scheduled breaks for morning or afternoon tea. Sessions are designed to get youth active and engaged on the water without any prerequisite experience—families can book single sessions or the full five-day program for repeat days of sailing.
