The course is packaged into three days. The classroom and pool session is scheduled either on the first Sunday of the month or the following Friday; the four ocean dives take place over the subsequent weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
Students learn to use basic scuba gear — mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, BCD and air cylinder — and the operator provides thick 7mm wetsuits plus hooded vests, boots and gloves for cold water. Call the shop for detailed equipment advice.
