Highlights

Outing Highlights

THE SKY

Aerial Passage through the Dragon Corridor

The helicopter leg soars from the Tusayan air terminal over the Kaibab National Forest and across the South Rim into the Dragon Corridor, offering aerial views of the Colorado River, North and South Rims, and distinctive formations such as the Tower of Ra and Vishnu Schist.

THE ROUTE

Guided Hummer Stops Along the South Rim

The three-hour Hummer itinerary includes multiple stops at popular viewpoints on the East side of the South Rim; professional guides narrate regional history, geology and the canyon’s formation while you step out to explore each outlook.

THE LIGHT

Sunset Photo Opportunities

The package is designed to capture the canyon in sunset light: each Hummer stop provides 15–20 minutes for photographs and scouting compositions as the canyon’s layers pick up color.

What the day feels like

What the trip feels like

You check in at Buck Wild’s terminal, board an outfitted Humvee for a short drive into the park and then disembark at three to four rim viewpoints where guides share geology and cultural history while you photograph the canyon; the helicopter segment departs from the Tusayan air terminal and adds an aerial sweep across the deepest corridor of the South Rim.
