Blended learning: eLearning plus four practical deep dives
The course begins with PADI eLearning (about 4–8 hours) that you complete independently, then moves to practical sessions where you complete four deep dives over a minimum of two days to put theory into practice.
Skills for depth: gas management, narcosis and redundancy
Through hands-on exercises you’ll practise planning deep dives, buoyancy control at depth, managing your gas supply, identifying and managing narcosis, and using redundancy systems and emergency procedures.
Explore to the recreational maximum of 40 metres
With instructor-led supervision you’ll gain the skills and confidence to safely explore to the maximum depth of recreational diving (40 m), while learning the special safety considerations required when diving below 18 m/60 ft.

What the course feels like
Start at your own pace with PADI eLearning, then meet your instructor for a theory review before heading out on the first day for two supervised deep dives; the second day repeats the pattern with review and two more dives, during which you practise descents, buoyancy, safety stops and emergency drills including use of a redundant air source.
