On‑site facilities include changing rooms and showers, and the operation provides qualified team supervision and rescue cover so you can focus on time on the water.

What the day feels like

What the outing feels like

These two‑hour sessions are straightforward and practical: check in, kit up in the changing rooms, receive supervision and rescue cover from the Aztec team, then launch your own craft or a hired sit‑on‑top or SUP and spend a focused block of time on the lakes before returning for showers and a tidy‑up.

Frequently asked questions

Planning Your Outing

What should I bring with me?

Wear clothes suitable for on‑the‑water activity (jogging trousers and a sweatshirt or swimwear), bring a spare change of clothes, old trainers or wetsuit boots, waterproofs or your own wetsuit, a warm or sun hat as appropriate, sun cream and a towel.

Can I hire a wetsuit on site?

Yes — wetsuit hire is available for £5 per person.

Can I take photos on the water?

Waterproof cameras are permitted but must be secured by a chest harness; the operator cannot be held responsible for lost devices and the water can be in excess of 3m deep.

What wildlife might I see?

There are ducks and geese around the lakes, and fish of various sizes in the water.

What happens in bad weather?

Rain does not usually cancel sessions — participants typically still take part — but if there is lightning the operator will pause activities and resume once the storm has passed; this may cause delays to later sessions.
