Across structured onshore and on-water sessions you’ll learn rigging and launching, sailing in all directions, capsize recovery and the safety knowledge required to make sound decisions in good conditions.

What the two days feel like
The course unfolds as a blend of hands-on shore briefings and progressive on-water sessions. Mornings typically begin with rigging and safety briefings; the remainder of each day is spent sailing drills — tacks, gybes and boat-handling — punctuated by focused capsize-recovery practice. Instruction is practical and confidence-led, with the final aim of demonstrating competent sailing in light winds and earning the RYA Level 2 certificate.
