Puffins and Island Lighthouses
A boat cruise with Acadian Boat Tours visits three island lighthouses — including Petit Manan, Mark Island and Egg Rock — where puffins and a suite of pelagic seabirds can be seen (Petit Manan hosts puffins and other offshore birds seasonally).
Schoodic Island & Peninsula Wildlife
The vessel makes a stop by Schoodic Island to search for eagles and other wildlife, then follows the Schoodic Peninsula for scenic shoreline views of Acadia and chances to spot seals, harbor porpoise, ospreys and a range of gulls, terns and shearwaters.
Ellsworth Trails for Warblers and Finches
On the trip’s second day, guided walks on grassy paths and forest trails around Ellsworth focus on songbirds — finches, warblers and other woodland species — over easy terrain and short miles of hiking.
