Three Turns at the Wheel
A short instructor demonstration is followed by hands-on time at the wheel — you’ll get three turns to center, throw, and begin shaping a cup or bowl while an instructor coaches you step by step.
Trim, Decorate, and Firing
After throwing you’ll firm pieces with heat guns to trim and clean the bottom, carve initials, experiment with underglaze paint-on-wheel techniques and textures, then hand the work to the studio for glazing and firing into food-safe ware.
A Relaxed, Social Evening
Expect a relaxed night of creativity: instructors guide each step and snap photos, all materials are provided, and a grab-and-go fridge offers cocktails, wine, and non‑alcoholic drinks to sip while you work.
What the day feels like
What the Two Hours Feel Like
The session moves deliberately: a concise demo to show the technique, concentrated time at the wheel to throw your piece, followed by trimming, carving, and decorating. Instructors stay hands-on throughout, you firm pieces with heat guns for finishing touches, and the studio completes the firing and clear glaze before notifying you when your piece is ready for pickup in a few weeks.
