Cortney Boyd — a teacher and maker steeped in glass
Cortney Boyd is a Denver-based glass artist and educator with more than 20 years working in glass, an MFA in Glass, teaching experience at Southern Illinois University and workshops at Pilchuck, and she co-owns a community studio and gallery in Denver.
Advanced vitrigraph methods: twists, stacks and specialty cane
Across two days students will explore pulling twisted vitrigraph cane, multi-layer color stacks and other specialty canes—techniques intended to be applied in future projects.
Hands-on, team-based studio practice
The class runs as a studio workshop where students pair up to design, cut and load glass into pots, pull vitrigraph cane, and share finished bits so everyone leaves with a sampling of the work made in class.

Bring a water bottle (a bottle filler is available onsite), a notebook and writing tool; you may bring glass-cutting tools or use tools provided by the studio.
Intro to Fusing or similar prior experience is required before joining this intermediate-level workshop.
