Highlights

Outing Highlights

THE TOOLWORK

Master the tweezers, jacks and marver

The class focuses on building hand skills with a variety of specialist tools — tweezers, jacks and the marver — through a series of guided exercises that progress technical confidence.

THE PROJECTS

Sculptures one day, vases the next

Day one concentrates on small sculpted objects — including a flower and a bird — while day two is devoted to making three vases using different techniques so each student leaves with multiple finished works.

THE SETTING

Small class, personal instruction

Class size is intentionally limited to four participants so everyone receives individual attention and hands‑on time with the glass; the workshop will run only if at least three people enroll.

What the day feels like

What the two days feel like

Across twelve hours over Saturday and Sunday you move from deliberate tool drills and small sculpted pieces to more sustained, technique‑driven sessions shaping three vases, all under close instructor supervision in Amokura Glass’s hot shop.
