Editorial Assessment

Hawksnest Beach is a beautiful and accessible natural spot known for its clear waters, coral reef, and relaxed environment. It ranks well as a popular beach offering notable snorkeling and swimming, but it doesn't have extremely rare geological features or unique ecosystems that push it into the highest tier of iconic natural landmarks. Its charm lies in its comfortable, family-friendly atmosphere and marine life, making it a highly recommended destination in the Caribbean, though not among the world’s most exceptional natural wonders.

We were there on a cloudy day but, still, the snorkeling here was the best we found on St. John. When we go back, I will start here, again, and then go try Trunk Bay.
