This is definitely a moderate trail as it’s pretty steep and rocky in parts, although one time I did do it in flip flops…(do not recommend) wear appropriate footwear, can get muddy and slippery if it starts raining. The bamboo forest and waterfalls along the trail are well worth the effort.

This hike is great. There's a lot of wildlife on the trail, and the waterfall at the end is worth it to see. The road to Hana was rough, but it was worth it for the hike.
