Nice and spacious sites, clean restroom with flush toilets, showers also available. Saw a bear 2 nights in a row, one time around 11:30pm and another around 8pm, doesn’t seems to be very afraid of people

Clean campground with restrooms and showers (tokens). No power but we brought solar panels. Large pinecones all over the site to play with making hearts, names or fencing around your site. The pinecones drop from the trees above and would hurt if you get hit by one. They fell at night and startled us a couple of times since we tent camped this trip. Also be sure to have dinner and clean up before the bears come around. We had an encounter one night with a big black bear since we were unprepared. Lesson learned, finish up early while it’s still light outside. The bears seemed to come through around 7:45pm in October. They went from site to site and you could hear banging of pots and yelling at the bear. He was just looking for food, so I’m sure it’s common at this campground. We saw a smaller bear in the morning. There were a few dogs around, so when they barked, you knew it was probably a bear in the area. Nice campground. Tables and bear lockers and large sites. We had plenty of space with two large tents. 6 people max per site.
