Definitely worth a visit. The water is clean and very warm. Many resorts to chose from around the crater lake. I spent the day at Coco Bay which was nice. Many people rave about Paradise.

Back in the late 70’s I used to scuba dive there. You needed a good 4 wheel drive to get to the rim. It was pristine. No development. We’d catch a few gaupote bass at the end and hand them still kicking to our favorite restaurant on our way back to Managua. In 15 min they’d be back on our table filleted and roasted on a wood fire and presented in a tomato / onion/ other veggie sauce. Delicious.

A beautiful, idyllic spot that will melt away all your stress with just a stroll along the shore and a refreshing dip in its crystal-clear waters. The water is so transparent that it sometimes turns a stunning turquoise. At night, the water temperature warms up, creating an even more relaxing experience. Plus, its natural minerals help to soothe and soften your skin. A true paradise to disconnect and enjoy nature! Everyone who lives in or visits Nicaragua should experience this place.
