Extreme down-and-up trail. This is a very steep trail, and only some of it is shaded. There are lots of good trails in the Foothills, and this is not one if them!

When they say it's a steep hike, they mean it. In some areas, it's so steep you'll be sliding on your butt, especially if you don't have the right shoes. The trail is mostly fine, dry dirt, which can be slippery. I would not recommend this trail for beginners. We may have taken the steeper route, we went left when we entered, but either way, be prepared for a very steep climb. I was too busy trying not to die to take pictures. The river is freezing cold but nice to swim in. You'll also see people rafting and canoeing on the river.

First hike and apparently there’s 2 entrances - a steep on which is in the back side near the parking and the other is on the left side at the entrance of the parking! lol - my husband and I took the steep one down, not so bad but it is steep! My Apple Watch says it was 2.32 miles and took under 1.5 hr to hike back and forth.
