Gorgeous spot... But do NOT follow Google maps directions unless you are prepared to drive through streams and over a rocky dirt path for a long distance. They sent us from Borgarnes along a dirt road the entire way.

You need a 4x4 and it's a short hike through wilderness, an amazing waterfall you can get right up to. This is not the usual easy access "route 1" sight, requires a little effort and appropriate vehicle.
