Well if you love hiking through the jungle with lots of animals to see, like monkeys and flying squirrels this trip is for you! Our kids had a hard time as you cant take a break for long because of mozzies and ants. Nice and cool water hole to refresh.

As you can see, there is only ~35min of walking through the jungle, but the waterfall and the view is astonishing! I would totally do it again next year.

A little jungle adventure to liven up your beach hangout. Go to the beach in front of the closed hotel. Do not enter the hotel area as the people who work there made it very clear that they wanted to be alone. At the far end of the beach behind the large rock is the start of the path up to the waterfall. Up to the first waterfall it is a walk of about 1km in easy terrain. There are certainly snakes and other scary creatures just waiting to sink their teeth into some stupid tourist. We each took a stick and poked the path in front of us. Not sure if it helped but it felt better. The stream has been used as a water source so it is not as untouched as it might seem. There is a pipe from the bottom to the top. We were completely alone in the place which felt very strange as the whole of Lipe is like an anthill with people, bars and garbage.
