Mountain Retreat at Trolltunga Aparthotel

Great destination! Enjoyed the open trail and peaceful outdoor atmosphere.

Wirklich enttäuschend. Wir hatten für zwei Nächte ein Apartment für 4 Personen gebucht. Wir waren schockiert, als wir das Gebäude sahen und die Wohnung betraten. Vor Ort heißt die Unterkunft auch Guesthouse und nicht wie beispielsweise bei Booking Aparthotel. Unser Apartment war abgewohnt und marode, die Einrichtung alt und teilweise kaputt. Vermutlich handelt es sich um ehemalige Wohnungen. Die Umgebung ist eine Arbeitersiedlung. Unserem jüngsten Sohn kamen die Tränen, als wir die Unterkunft betraten und er das Doppelstockbett sah, in dem er in einem Flur schlafen sollte. Zudem ist die Unterkunft sehr teuer. Wir sind vor lauter Enttäuschung eine Nacht früher abgereist. Eine Erstattung der nicht in Anspruch genommenen Übernachtung erfolgte nicht. Wir hatten alles im Voraus bezahlt. Alles sehr schade.

Nice hotel with good restaurant. We stayed here before our trip to Trolltunga. Had a room with a private bathroom and wc. Please note that they also have a shared bathroom and toilet. Shared bathroom and toilet looked good. Clean and nice. Nice bar at the reception and nice patio. The restaurant had a small varied menu, good food. Simple with a good breakfast, with the option of buying a packed lunch.

Check in was uneventful. Host / employee was polite but neutral. Not forthcoming with any information, but provided when asked. Price is very high for a room, compared to all else travelled in Norway. Room is spacious, and clean, but very spartan. Walls are blank, no decor or comfortable ambiance. Couch is not comfortable to sit unless perched on edge. Beds are very comfortable for sleeping, bedding and towel provided. Kitchen has cookware and dishes.

Clean, spacious apartment and well equipped for a short stay. Prime location - only 8 minutes from Odda and not far from Trolltunga P1, P2 and P3 to start hiking early. Great sunset views.
