I went there for lunch. I walked there from the tourist center. I crossed a bridge that was only accessible by motorbikes and pedestrians along the way. When I told the reception at the villa entrance that I was there for the restaurant, they let me in. The path to the restaurant was like a jungle, which added to the charm. The menu had everything from food to drinks. Everything was on the expensive side. The table setting and presentation were stylish. There were small ants walking on the table, which was a bit annoying, but it's an open space, so I guess that's unavoidable. It was a nice restaurant where I could relax comfortably.

Vieng Tara…a place to stay that makes you feel like you “don’t need to go anywhere.” I stayed here for two nights during the rainy season and felt that even if I didn’t go out and do any activities, I wouldn’t regret it at all. The atmosphere of the resort is amazing – quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by the lush greenery of rice fields and mountains. Everywhere you look is soothing to the eyes and mind, like a therapeutic experience for both soul and body. The rooms are clean and thoughtfully designed. They provide complimentary bottled water, cola, spiced drinks, snacks, coffee, and tea ☕️. The bed is incredibly comfortable, the air conditioning is perfectly cool, and there’s a balcony where you can relax and enjoy the view of the lotus pond. If you enjoy a slow-paced travel experience, this place is perfect. You can go out and explore or just stay at the hotel all day, simply enjoying the view of the rice fields and mountains. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful, served in a traditional Thai style (khan tok), with the option to choose your own set menu. On the morning of the second day, we requested boiled eggs instead of bread and fruit, and the resort happily accommodated our request. So thoughtful and kind! The other meals were also delicious. 🍗 Lao-style herb chicken — delicious and fragrant with herbs. 🍤 Shrimp fried rice — large shrimp, exactly as pictured, and very tasty. Overall, I was impressed with the atmosphere, rooms, food, and service. Especially during the rainy season when nature is so lush, this place is perfect for a relaxing getaway. Come during the rainy season… you don't need a lot of travel plans. Just spending the whole day here feels worth it.
