After traveling the country for the last 3 1/2 years focused on hiking this is a top rated trail in my opinion. The first mile ascends steadily until you crest the high point before dropping back down to get to the bridge view point. About 1/2 mile from the end of the trail you enter a beautiful pine forest fresh with piny smells and stunning views of the rocks. The trail then ascends until you get to the end of the trail where a sign signifies the terminus. The bridge was difficult to make out due to it being a fairly small bridge heavily shadowed in the bright sun. We saw two hikers make their way across the terrain go all the way up to the bridge, but there's no way from the bottom to get on top of the bridge. If that's your goal and you're capable of safely going cross-country I would imagine it's possible to get on top of the bridge if you start south from where the trail initially crests at about 1 mile in. Scenic drive in from Wilcox. Once you enter the NM you're treated with very cool views from the canyon of the surrounding rocks. The parking lot for this hike is small (room for maybe 6-7 cars), but yesterday (Sunday) on a 3-day weekend at 11am we had no problem getting a parking spot. Only encountered 3 other groups of hikers on the trail. Hiking blog link in bio.
