This is at the very top of my list as one of the coolest and most beautiful hikes of my entire life. I took the top route from echo canyon and It’s by no means easy and not for beginners. There’s a lot of elevation gain and a good portion is at the end when you’re already tired. I imagine the route from the welcome center would be “easier” because you would take all the elevation on the way in and be down hill the whole way out. Now that I’ve scared you…. Let me reiterate…. This is one of the most beautiful, majestic hikes in my life!

Roughly a mile, this loop offers the magic of Chiricahua. I would recommend doing the loop clockwise. The challenge is enjoying what is in front of your eyes without taking a multitude of photos. It's quite breaktaking and is one of many hidden gems in AZ.
