The slow-moving waters near Stoneman Bridge offer a perfect starting point for paddleboarding. Located a short walk from Curry Village, this spot boasts calm conditions ideal for beginners. The area is adorned with lush greenery, and the reflections of Yosemite’s towering peaks, like Glacier Point, on the water’s surface create a stunning backdrop.

A bit further downstream, Sentinel Beach is another prime location. This stretch of the Merced River provides slightly more current, making it exciting for intermediate paddleboarders. The sandy riverbanks are perfect for a mid-paddle break, and the nearby picnic tables are a great place to relax and enjoy a packed lunch while soaking in views of El Capitan.

The section near Swinging Bridge offers a balanced mix of calm waters and occasional ripples, catering to paddleboarders of varying skill levels.
