The Mag‑7 links multiple classic Moab lines into a long, shuttle‑friendly ride. The full point‑to‑point route combines many connector trails for a continuous 26‑mile run when shuttled to the top.
Portal Trail: the earned, exposed finale
Finishers can descending the Park’s infamous Portal Trail — a highly advanced singletrack with extremely exposed, super technical sections. It is recommended only for experienced and expert riders.
Modular linking across Gemini Bridges Road
Riders can stitch together many connecting trails — including Bull Run, Great Escape, Little Canyon, Gold Bar and Gold Bar Rim — to customize distance and difficulty within the Mag‑7 network.

Shuttled to the high side, the Mag‑7 unfolds as a long, varied run: a succession of named connectors that alternate flow with technical, exposed sections. Best ridden as a 26‑mile, point‑to‑point, the route rewards stamina, technical skill and careful line choice; choose the Portal finish only if you are prepared for extremely exposed, expert‑level singletrack.

The full point‑to‑point covers roughly 26 miles and typically takes between 4 and 8 hours depending on route choices and rider speed.
Carry ample water — a minimum of 100 oz. per rider is recommended — plus ample food and snacks. Bring a headlamp and extra warm layers, a windbreaker or waterproof jacket, sunglasses and sunscreen. Keep your bike in excellent working condition and bring spare tubes, pump, patch kits, tire levers, a spare cable and derailleur hanger, master link, multi‑tool with chain breaker, lube, shock pump and basic first aid supplies. Practice Leave No Trace.
Moab terrain is hard on equipment — bring tools and spare parts to address common mechanicals and be prepared to manage breakdowns in remote conditions.
The designated shuttle meeting spot is the Bottom of Portal Trail roadside parking area. This parking area is not listed on Trailforks, Google or Apple Maps; follow the operator’s meeting‑locations guide for directions. The parking area sits 3.5 miles from HWY 191 on the river side of the road and there is no cell reception on the river road. Do NOT park in the Jaycee Campground or you will miss the shuttle; be ready to board 15 minutes prior to departure.
