A wonderful experience that doesn't take you far from the road. A photographer's dream when the moss is at it's most colorful. The road is usually closed during the cold season as the snow and ice eventually takes over. Big Spring Creek is one of those places that I will drive to from the PDX area just to get away from it all and relax. Not too many people here, in fact, I've never seen another rig here upon visiting. Probably due to the fact that it is quite a drive and out in the middle of the Gifford. From Wiki, a brief description of the falls: Big Spring Creek Falls is a three-tiered waterfall along Big Spring Creek, originating high on Mount Adams, with a total height of 49 ft. Its main drop is 25 ft feet. It cascades down among a dark forest, surrounded by mosses and ferns.
