Adventuring at Trolltunga Active

A great place and a fantastic adventure! An unforgettable experience and a well-deserved 5-star rating! The Trolltunga Active team is incredibly positive, always smiling, and eager to share stories about the area. The entire team demonstrates complete professionalism – the initial safety training and assistance along the route are top-notch. We also greatly appreciate their flexible approach to customer service. We used both the Zipline and Via Ferrata. For the Via Ferrata, we chose the unguided option – we rented harnesses and helmets on site and received thorough, practical training in their use, giving us a complete sense of security. Both the Zipline and Via Ferrata Trolltunga offer incredible thrills and guarantee picturesque, almost fairytale views of Lake Ringedal. A true adventure in the Trolltunga area – we highly recommend it!

Did the overnight sunset/sunrise Trolltunga hike with Nico, and our party of hikers included 2 other persons on top of the 2 of us. The hike and overnight stay at the dome was superb! Nico is highly experienced and though we were having rain and mist most of the time, he knew exactly when to go to a great sighting spot, and true enough the mist will clear up as he speaks! We were all worried we won’t be able to get to Trolltunga with great views, but we made it and it was an even better experience as a result. Rain and mist meant we were kept cool during the whole hike versus what we experienced at Preikestolen, and then sun when we needed a little and it helped form but also clear some of mist for great views and photos! Nico and our party of 4 hikers looking out for one another made the whole experience super! Sleep in the dome was comfy in our super good sleeping bags! The following day we also did a e-bike+hike half day tour with Stephan and Sebestian to view the 3 beautiful waterfalls at Kinsarvik: Tveitafossen, Nyastolfossen, Nykkjesoyfossen. Stephan was a really enthusiastic and cool and knowledgeable guide! He was very patient with us as we were delayed by traffic, taught us how to use the e-bike, and was always looking out for us and what we were hoping to see and experience on the tour. The waterfalls were super spectacular and Stephan knew the exact spots to bring us to experience them best, and also found alternative routes for us to scale down the hike comfortably. I would highly recommend Trolltunga Active and their guides had been awesome! Thanks Nico and Stephan!

Good pictures. Hike is very long so bring good shoes and plenty hydration. Avoid if not in a good shape ...there are other places equally good for pictures.

It was our second tour with Trolltunga Active (after the 2020 zipline tour). We had a wonderful time with Štêfân on the Tyssedal via ferrata; it was fun and offered great views. Štêfân was a fantastic guide who kept us motivated and explained a lot along the way. That’s why we’re looking forward to doing the Trolltunga via ferrata tour next year.
